So, hopefully people still visit this community. :)

I've been told by a teacher of mine to envision the person you're talking to during a monologue. My question is, who exactly do you envision? Do I envision what I think the character would look like? Or do I envision someone from my life that brings up the appropriate emotions?

Also, how much do you move around during a monologue? Does it depend on the monologue?

I'd say try out both ways until it feels right for you.

As far as moving, it depends. I know one of my directors/professors has said "caged tiger" pacing is extremely distracting.
